What Affects the Cost of an Intervention

Six key factors come into play when we calculate your quote. Understanding them will help you make sense of our estimate.

Type of pest

Each species requires a specific protocol. A bed bug treatment is fundamentally different from rodent control or pigeon deterrence, in terms of products, equipment and time required.

Surface area to treat

A 30 m² studio does not require the same resources as a 120 m² apartment, let alone a hotel or warehouse. Surface area is typically the primary pricing factor.

Severity of infestation

An early-stage infestation (a few localised individuals) takes less effort to address than a large-scale, widespread one across multiple rooms. Acting early is always less expensive.

Accessibility of affected areas

Hard-to-reach spaces (lofts, crawl spaces, service ducts, heights) require more time and sometimes specialist equipment.

Number of visits

Some treatments require several visits spaced over time to break the pest's reproductive cycle. These visits are always included in the initial quote, with no additional charge.

Urgency of the intervention

An emergency call-out in the evening, at the weekend or on a public holiday may incur a supplement. We always inform you of this before confirming the appointment.

Is the quote free?
Yes, absolutely. We always provide a written quote, free of charge and with no obligation, after inspecting your situation. You know the exact price before our technicians start any work. No surprises, no hidden fees.
Who pays for the treatment in a rented property?
Responsibility depends on the origin of the infestation. In Switzerland, if the pests were present before the tenant moved in or if the infestation comes from common areas, the landlord or property management company is generally responsible. If the infestation results from the tenant's behaviour, the tenant is liable. We recommend notifying your landlord in writing as soon as possible. We can provide a detailed intervention report to support your case.
Do you offer maintenance contracts?
Yes. For professionals (catering, hospitality, food industry, property managers) and private clients who want lasting preventive protection, we offer periodic maintenance contracts. These include regular inspection visits, preventive treatments when needed, and a written report after each visit. Pricing is determined by quote according to the surface area, type of establishment and desired frequency.
Does insurance cover pest control treatments?
As a rule, neither household insurance nor private liability insurance covers standard pest control treatments. However, some building insurance policies may include partial coverage for damage caused by pests (e.g. stone martens). We recommend contacting your insurer directly to check your policy terms. We can provide a detailed invoice and intervention report to support any claim.
Do I have to pay multiple times if the treatment requires several visits?
No. When the protocol requires multiple visits — which is often the case for bed bugs (2 to 3 visits spaced 10 to 14 days apart) or rodent control with follow-up — the total price is communicated in the initial quote. You will not discover any additional cost at each visit. Follow-up visits included in the protocol are part of the price quoted.
